Welcome
to the New Website of the American Red Cross of Trumbull & Mercer
Counties!
The Red Cross of Trumbull &
Mercer Counties have been actively serving their communities since 1917.
They are one of over 700 chapters across the nation providing
direct health, safety and emergency services to local residents. With
over three thousand volunteers, blood donors and financial contributors,
the chapter is the largest volunteer organization in Mercer and Trumbull
Counties.
Today, under the same trusted symbol, the American Red
Cross is always finding new ways to help you and the people you care about
prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Our Mission The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers
and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of
the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of
disaster and help prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
The American Red Cross is not a
government agency and all Red Cross disaster assistance is free thanks to
the generosity of people like you.
The value of your donation is increased
by the fact that the ratio of volunteer Red Cross workers to paid staff is
almost 36 to one.
Contributions to the American Red Cross, a tax-exempt organization under
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code,
are deductible for
computing income and estate taxes.
